Calgary Public Library logo is primarily a book mark but the logo also encapsulates many other ideas as requested by the client, from literal to abstract. In addition, the logo represents a gateway to other worlds where books and electronic media can take you. The shape of the logo suggests a human form and the Calgary Tower which gives the logo a sense of locality. The triangular shape suggests stability and a positive movement upward.
